Happy Meal is our new project. It's a series of activities about our food system. It will last from September - December 2010. We are organizing the following activities in September:
Monday 13th of September: Introduction - Movie Food, inc. 20:30, Movie-W (LA13)
Introduction to the Happy Meal project followed by Movie Food, inc. and a short presentation by the Youth Food Movement (YFM).
No subscription necessary.
Saturday 25th of September: Excursion to Estate Hemmen 9:00, LA13
Visit farmers, vegetable gardens, Hemmensland foundation and the estate by bike

Thursday 30th of September: Eat in 18:00, Experimental Farm 'Droevendaal'
Potluck and regional food market. Enjoy local food. Meet farmers, cooks and students

We are an organization of students and recent graduates of Wageningen University. We offer a discussion platform for pressing issues concerning land use practices in rural areas. RUW contributes to the public debate by highlighting critical studies and groundbreaking viewpoints. Moreover, RUW induces a socio-critical awareness among students. 
RUW organises activities about recent themes such as group discussions, lectures, debates and excursions. These activities facilitate the exchange of knowledge and views between students, scientists, policymakers, industry and other relevant actors. Our Academic Consultancy Training courses encourage students to adopt both environmental and socio-economic considerations.
As a student you can turn your own ideas into activities or assist us within activities of your interest. Volunteering will give you the opportunity to develop a professional network and gain organisational skills. Volunteering at RUW adds to the depth and scope of your study. Our board also consists of volunteers.
Wij zijn een kritische studentenorganisatie verbonden aan Wageningen Universiteit en Researchcentrum (WUR). Wij bieden studenten en afgestudeerden een platform voor actuele onderwerpen binnen groene thema’s waaronder milieu, landschap en landbouw. RUW levert een bijdrage aan het maatschappelijke debat door nieuwe concepten op een kritische en innovatieve manier onder de aandacht van studenten te brengen.
RUW organiseert verschillende activiteiten binnen elk thema, waaronder lezingen, excursies, debatten, films en workshops. Onze activiteiten bieden een gelegenheid tot uitwisseling van kennis tussen studenten, onderzoekers, beleidsmakers, het bedrijfsleven en andere relevante actoren. Daarnaast faciliteert RUW de Academic Consultancy Training waarbij studenten worden gestimuleerd om zowel milieu- als sociaal-economische aspecten in overweging te nemen.
Als student kan je aan onze activiteiten deel te nemen. Bovendien kun je binnen RUW actief worden en meehelpen bij het organiseren van activiteiten die aansluiten bij je interesse. Er is altijd ruimte voor het uitwerken en realiseren van je eigen ideeën. Als bestuurslid krijg je de mogelijkheid om je organisatorische vaardigheden te vergroten en om een professioneel netwerk op te bouwen. Actief zijn binnen RUW zal zeker bijdragen aan verdieping en verbreding van je studie. Kijk onze vacatures!
